Last week Paris Photo took place at the Grand Palais in Paris.
I usually go for portraits but this time I was attracted to some special images without a human inside.
– Christan Patterson at the Robert Morat Gallerie put a telephone next to the photos and after calling the names featuring in the notebook, it was possible to hear the sounds corresponding to the landscape.
– Eeva Karhu and Santeri Tuori were presented next to each other at the Gallery Taik Persons with mysterious and beautiful scenes.
– Matthew Pillsbury working on movement and long exposure in Japan with the Hanami Serie
– Takashi Arai showed exemple of his daily Daguerreotype project since 2011
– I noticed vArious support for the printing: Doug & Mike Starn on Thai Mulberry , Goldschmied & Chiari on digital print mirror
– Todd Hido, Beatrice Helg and Olivier Metzger
– Marleen Sleeuwits at Fekdbusch Wiesner staged abstract photographs.
There were many more excellent one but I just mentioned some photographers I discovered for the first time. I hope I can go next year again!
